About Me

My name is Lana Premadasa, and from a young age I've had an extreme curiosity about that which is other to me - foremost, cultures. My father traveled the world for years, and told me stories about the amazing things he had seen, which has lead to a really explorative side to my nature. Recently this love has manifested itself in an interest in the area of anthropology which I hope to apply to study after my return.

My long term plans are to continue my education in anthropology and to help people. After realising a very long time ago that materially and socially I have everything, and that it is my responsibility to try and help as many people that don't have the same advantage as me. I would like to work for the UN or in the voluntary sector.

As the oldest of five, I've also grown up around children and find them to be one of the most happy and cheerful beings, and I've especially wanted to work with children who haven't had the best start in life, and hopefully help them along the right way, and spread my enthusiasm to them for life, and help get them interested in things that they can love as much as I love sport and Drama.
